Pickin’ on a Banjo
Enjoy some live musical entertainment with Pickin’ on the Porch at the Eagle Mountain General Store in Ellijay, Georgia every 2nd and 4th Saturdays from May through October, 2013 from 7 PM to 9 PM. As long as the weather permits, there will be a firepit going where you can roast marshmallows while listening to some great country, bluegrass, and even some rock and roll music. The general store has plenty of food, drinks, and snacks for you to choose from including BBQ, burgers, hot dogs, and more! Check out the great gifts and collectibles in the store, much that is created by local artists.

Garden Club of Ellijay Flower Show

Spring flowers
The Garden Club of Ellijay is having a standard flower show “Songs of the South” on June 14 and 15, 2013. This show will feature educational displays, beautiful, artistic floral designs and much more. It will be hosted at the Gilmer Arts and Heritage in Ellijay, Georgia. Friday’s show (June 14) will be from 2 PM to 5 PM and Saturday’s show (June 15) will be from 10 AM to 2 PM.

4th Annual Valentine’s Day Dinner and Dance

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an evening of dinner and dancing at Kharisma Live’s 4th Annual Valentine’s Day Dinner and Dance at the American Legion Dance Hall in Ellijay, Georgia. This great evening of entertainment will take place on February 16, 2013 from 7 PM to 11 PM.

Valentine’s Day at Cartecay Vineyards

Christmas Tour of Homes

On November 24, 2012 you can enjoy the Christmas decorations of four of the oldest homes in Ellijay, Georgia on the Downtown Ellijay Christmas Tour of Homes. These homes include 3 family homes as well as the Tabor House Museum and Civil War Library and will all be decorated as homes were decorated in the late 1800s, early 1900s. There will be an after party at the Tabor House at 6 PM.
The tours will be going on from 11 AM to 4 PM. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at Main Street Antiques, Whistlestop Pottery, Cartecay River Trading Company, Antique Show, Christmas House/Interiors, Gilmer Chamber of Commerce, and Ellijay City Hall. 2012 Light Up Ellijay

Come on out to downtown Ellijay, Georgia on November 23, 2012 to kick off the holiday season with Light Up Ellijay 2012. The fun begins at 3 PM. There will be children’s activities, snack vendors, a Christmas scavenger hunt, a parade and, of course, the lighting of the Christmas tree in the square. Stores will be having specials, so you can take advantage of that and get some Christmas shopping done. Enjoy the window decorations as part of the window decorations contest and don’t miss getting your picture taken with Santa!
