Apple Mountain Playhouse

The Apple Mountain Playhouse has opened their new facilities in Ellijay, Georgia. Their ribbon cutting was in December 2011. The next production at the Apple Mountain Playhouse is The Adventures of Peter Pan. This play will open on January 20, 2012 and run through February 4, 2012.

Opening night showtime, January 20,  is 7 PM. The play will be performed on Saturdays and Sundays at 3 PM through February 4. Showtimes and dates are subject to change.

Tickets are $8 per person, children under 3 are free with a paid admission. Face painting before each day time performance is included in the ticket price.

Coffeehouse and Art Reception

Gilmer Arts and Heritage (GAHA) in Ellijay, Georgia is hosting a Coffeehouse and Art Reception on January 13, 2011. The  art reception will begin at 6 PM featuring local artists Sheryl Holstein, a potter and Elly Hobgood, a watercolor artist whose works of art will be on display at the GAHA Gallery from January 13, 2012 through February 17, 2012. You can enjoy the music of the Americana Duo, The Buzzard Mountain Boys beginning at 7 PM at the coffeehouse. There will be hot coffee and refreshments available.

Smoke on the Mountain

Come on out to Gilmer Arts and Heritage Association (GAHA) in Ellijay, Georgia to laugh, sing, and enjoy Smoke on the Mountain presented by the North Georgia Acting Company on November 3, 4, and 5, 2011. It is being produced and directed by Ross Galbreath with musical direction by Thelma (Bay) Cagle.

Decorative Art Consignment Sale

Home DecorIf you have quality art or home decor you no longer have a need for and would like to sell, bring it by Gilmer Arts and Heritage in Ellijay, Georgia to be included in their Decorative Art Consignment Sale beginning on September 30, 2011. Members of GAHA will receive 75% of the selling price, non-members will receive 65%.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

The Apple Mountain Playhouse will be performing a play “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” on May 6, 7, 8, 2011 at the Ellijay Auditorium in Ellijay, Georgia. This play is based on a fantasy novel by C.S. Lewis and is part of the Chronicles of Narnia.

Evening showtimes are 7:30 PM and the Sunday matinee is at 3 PM. Tickets range from $8 to $15 per person.  Seniors, students, teachers and all employees of Ellijay, East Ellijay and Gilmer County will receive $ 2.00 off the full price ticket. Call 706-502-4292 for more information.

Sherlock Holmes Night

Sherlock HolmesStep back in time to a dark, foggy night in Victorian London as you listen and learn about the stories of Sherlock Holmes at Gilmer Arts and Heritage (GAHA) in Ellijay, Georgia on April 8, 2011 at 6 PM.
