Valentine’s Dinner and Wine Tasting

Gilmer Arts and Heritage (GAHA) in Ellijay, Georgia will be hosting a Valentine’s Dinner and Wine Tasting on February 10, 2012 beginning at 6:30 PM. Enjoy a delicious meal of beef tenderloin, field greens salad, baked potato, bread, and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. The wines being sampled will be a variety of national and European wines.

Tickets are $45 per person. Seating is limited so you’ll want to contact GAHA at 706-635-5605 for your tickets soon!

U-Pick Corn at the Red Apple Barn

July 29 and 30, 2011 is a U-Pick Corn weekend at the Red Apple Barn in Ellijay, Georgia. Come on out and get some tasty corn fresh out of the fields! Make sure to wear the proper attire of long pants, long sleeved shirts, and closed in shoes to go out in the fields. You may also want to bring along some bug spray to spray on yourself. If you live in the Jasper or Talking Rock Area then you have probably been to Bigun’s BBQ. For those of you in Ellijay that want to try a great Barbeque then don’t miss what many call the best burgers and barbecue in Ellijay GA. It’s only 10 minutes south of Ellijay on the left side of highway 515. Not as far as the Jasper main exit. Their menu is posted on their website so you can print it out and find exactly what you want to eat. It used to be a best kept secret but we just let the cat out of the bag
