U-Pick at the Red Apple Barn

Pick your own apples at the Red Apple Barn in Ellijay, Georgia in the months of September and October, 2011. Take a wagon ride to the orchard, get a tour of the orchard and pick some apples. For just $5 you get the wagon ride, the tour of the orchard, one cup of apple cider, and 1 apple. Prices for additional apples vary according to the amount you choose.
The first day of the U-Pick season is Saturday, September 3, 2011. Times are 10:30 AM to 5 PM. Fridays are reserved for groups of 10 or more. For more information, call 706-635-5898 or 706-635-7674.

U-Pick at R and A Orchards

Take a wagon tour of R & A Orchards in Ellijay, Georgia in the month of September, 2011. While there, have fun picking your own apples. There will be many different kinds of apples to choose from. If you would rather purchase apples already picked, visit their roadside market. Not only can you get fresh apples but you can pick up some tasty apple butter, jams, jellies and cider.
Wagon tours will be going on 10 AM to 5 PM every weekend in September. The market is open 9 AM to 6 PM seven days a week. For more information, call 706-273-3821.

U-Pick Corn at the Red Apple Barn

July 29 and 30, 2011 is a U-Pick Corn weekend at the Red Apple Barn in Ellijay, Georgia. Come on out and get some tasty corn fresh out of the fields! Make sure to wear the proper attire of long pants, long sleeved shirts, and closed in shoes to go out in the fields. You may also want to bring along some bug spray to spray on yourself. Silver Bells and Diamonds

The Gilmer Arts and Heritage Association (GAHA) presents to you, Silver Bells and Diamonds, a holiday show performed by The Diamonds. This show combines high energy holiday musical favorites with classic tunes of the 50′s and 60′s. The Diamonds bring their signature vocal harmonies and engaging stage presence to the Ellijay Elementary auditorium on December 18, 2010 at 7:30 PM.

Festival of Trees 2010

Light Up Ellijay

Visit the square in downtown Ellijay on November 27, 2010 from 6 PM to 10 PM to enjoy the beautiful Christmas decor and see the lighting of this year’s Christmas tree.
