Hillcrest Orchards in Ellijay, Georgia is starting their annual Apple Pickin’ Jubilee on September 8, 2012 and will continue every weekend through October 28. Bring the family out to enjoy some apple pickin’, nature trails, pig races, pedal tractor racing, a petting zoo, a moonshine museum, and much more. Learn how honey is made with a live honey bee demonstration and even milk a cow.  Don’t forget to stop by Grandma’s Bakery for some tasty treats like fried pies, apple cider doughnuts, apple fritters and homemade ice cream.

August 25, 2012 is the start of the U-Pick Apples and Farm Tour at R & A Orchards in Ellijay, Georgia. Come on out, rain or shine, and take a wagon ride through the orchard to pick some fresh, ripe apples. They have a great farm store with apples, veggies, baked goods, and more so even if you are not in the mood to go out and pick your own, you can still get some of the freshest, tastiest produce around.

The wagon will be running from 10 AM to 5 PM on August 25 and 26 and the market is open every day from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Apple picking has begun at the Red Apple Barn in Ellijay, Georgia. Come on out, get a tractor ride out to the apple orchard, and pick some of your own apples. Apple picking in August, 2012 will be on Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 4 PM. September and October will be on Saturdays and Sundays. Pumpkins will be ready for picking at the beginning of October so make sure to stop by then to get a pumpkin.
